We are indebted to our outgoing Chairperson, Ms. Elizabeth Lwanga, for her extraordinary leadership over the past five years.

The Board and staff celebrate the wisdom, passion, expertise and tirelessly supportive spirit with which Ms Lwanga has advised and governed the organisation over her tenure.

Ms Lwanga offered prinicipled, strategic, and creative guidance during the development of our strategic plan (2019-2022) and led the organisation through a critical leadership transition which guaranteed the Peace Centre’s growth and sustainability.

She was also at the helm of our re-branding Isis-Women’s International Cross-Cultural Exchange to Women’s International Peace Centre.

Her leadership sustained the Peace Centre through the Covid-19 Pandemic.

She leaves a legacy of unprecedented growth in programs and financing

Ms Lwanga will continue to champion our work as an Eminent Woman of the Women’s Situation Room Uganda.
