HELEN KEZIE-NWOHA

Helen Kezie-Nwoha is the Executive Director at The Peace Centre. Her primary role is to provide leadership, management and support to the team at The Peace Centre. Helen provides leadership and advocates for promotion of justice, empowerment of women by strengthening their capacity, potential and visibility at national and international levels. She also takes lead in projecting The Peace Centre’s mission, vision and programs to key stakeholders, ensuring that key staff understand and articulate The Peace Centre strategies to the partners and program beneficiaries. Through a participatory approach, Helen also develops The Peace Centre budgets which are consistent with the agreed strategic direction and in accordance with set financial guidelines. In her duties, she advises and works with the Board to fulfill the organisation’s mission vision through implementation of the strategic plan.

Helen has a Masters in Gender and International Development, a Master’s in Business Administration and a BSc in Zoology. Helen has over 20 years- experience working on women’s rights, gender, peace building, conflict resolution and governance. She has managed international and regional programs; led advocacy efforts at international, regional and national levels. Helen has extensive experience in programme management, organizational development, fundraising, advocacy, training and research from a feminist perspective.
