Mary Aemo is the Field Officer, Yumbe District under the Promoting Women’s Effective Participation in Peace Building in Uganda Project. Mary is responsible for project implementation and evaluation at district level. She selects project beneficiaries, monitors field activities, communicates with partners involved in the project, and manages and collects data in Yumbe.

Before joining The Peace Centre, Mary worked for Forum for Women in Democracy (FOWODE) as a field officer in Napak district on a project Building and Amplifying Women’s Voice through Leadership. She also worked for North East Chili Producers Association (NECPA) as a field officer in Lira district.

Mary holds a Bachelors of Arts in Social Sciences, a diploma in Development Studies and a certificate in Uganda Sign Language.

Mary is passionate about working with women, making new friends and listening to gospel music.
