Ms. Martinez is currently Project Director South East Asia Women’s Watch (SEAWWatch) a South East Asia network of women to monitor and revitalize the 1995 Beijing Platform for Action. She recently retired as Associate Professor in Social Work at Miriam College, an all-women’s college in the Philippines.

She sits on the Board of Trustees for Io: Facilitating Spaces for Feminist Conversations (formerly Isis International). With Isis International, she spent eight years (1993-2000) as staff which included various positions that included serving as research and publications on various women’s issues in the  AsiaPacific region.

She served as President of the Board of Trustees for Isis International 2006-2013.

She currently serves on the Women’s International Peace Centre formerly Isis-WICCE Board as representative to Asia region through Io/ Isis International-Manila.
